We welcome you to our Christmas Services and Events 2017
'I bring to you Good News of great joy! Today in the town of David , a Saviour has been born to you: He is Christ the Lord.' (Luke 2 v10-11)
You know, I say every December “Where on earth has that year gone?”
Well, when I look back on the year of Scampton Church, I get excited to the core. Our congregation has increased each month, from an average of 25-30 to 50-60. Our ‘obnoxious’ puppet Pete continues to wow the children at our Family Services. We now have children joining in the worship band. On Easter Sunday over 100 people came to our ‘Resurrection Party’, and on Remembrance Sunday 200 people squeezed into our small church.
But the most rewarding was watching four people confirm their faith in front of God, the Bishop and family and friends.
As you know, Scampton Church's motto is ‘to make Jesus known in a modern, relevant and unstuffy way’.
There are eight churches in the Springline Parish, with differing services to choose from; both traditional and contemporary, so why not join us over the Christmas period. All the details of the Scampton services and activities are listed below, and others can be found on the Springline website.
On behalf of the leadership team at Scampton Church, I wish you a wonderful Christmas and a blessed New Year.
Rev. Sue Deacon (Local Minister)
